To provide a community for the chemical engineers at CBU where students can work, grow, network, and compete. Since chemical engineering is a difficult major, we want to provide the students at CBU with the help they need and opportunities to flourish.

While this club is designed for chemical engineering students, this club is open to all students.

Membership benefits include joining a community of chemical engineers, as well as official membership in the international AIChE. Membership will allow students access to many online courses for certifications in chemical engineering subject matters, as well as the ability to compete in AIChE competitions and attend AIChE conferences. The CBU chapter hosts many guest speakers who provide students insight into the industry they study, as well as guide them on possible future opportunities they may wish to pursue. Members will also be able to get advice from other chemical engineers, which is a great benefit for lower-classmen.

The American Red Cross Club serves our campus and community by promoting compassion, preparedness, and lifesaving support. The Red Cross Club focuses on serving others in the community regardless of age, race, or background. During our meetings and events, officers will also raise cross-cultural awareness about international emergencies. Members will be encouraged to discuss how to prevent and address these emergencies.

Members who volunteer will serve and improve the community through partnering with the American Red Cross and Volunteer Connection. The Red Cross Club will help to support local blood drives, emergency and disaster preparedness, food drives, and more to serve our community. AIA will give CBU students the opportunity to have conversations with guest speakers and experts who are knowledgeable about AI in their desired careers, and open doors to internships and jobs.

In this club, members will be able to use the experience that they gain to apply for internships and jobs, especially in today's world, where AI is constantly growing. They will acquire a lot of experience using tools effectively, such as ChatGPT and Claude, hear from guest speakers, and work through real case studies together. By the end of a semester, members will walk away with an actual project to point to, a network of people across majors you wouldn't normally meet, and a level of comfort with AI most of your peers won't have yet.

ACM | Technology Engineering Club exists to equip students across computing and engineering disciplines with the real world skills, project experience, and professional network needed to launch meaningful careers in tech.

What started as a chapter built mainly around competitive programming has grown into something broader. Members now work across software, cybersecurity, game development, and hardware, often on projects for actual outside companies, and our mission grew with them. We keep our ACM chapter status because that competitive and academic foundation still matters, but the club isn't limited to it anymore. We want members to graduate with real experience, real connections, and real work behind them, not just meetings attended.

Competing in ICPC and NCCDC
ICPC: members compete against top programming teams from schools around the world, building real algorithmic and problem solving skill under contest conditions.
NCCDC: members join our cybersecurity team to defend live networks against simulated attacks, the kind of hands on security work most students don't touch until an internship.

Software Engineering Team (SET)
Members build real, ambitious projects year round, several with actual outside clients and companies, not just class assignments. Current work includes a custom smartwatch built on an ESP32 and a custom PCB, a large language model built from scratch, and a Reachy Mini robot running that same LLM with RAG against CBU's own data. Every project has its own team and its own lead, and members walk away with shipped work they can point to.

Game Development
Members design and build games from the ground up using industry standard tools, with regular weekend game jams throughout the year on top of a larger group project. It's fast, it's collaborative, and it's built to mirror how game teams actually work.

Industry Exposure
We bring in guest speakers from the tech and game industry so members hear directly from people doing the work, not just professors talking about it. We're also building out hackathons and inter school competitions, giving members a chance to build under pressure and meet students and recruiters from other schools.

Biblically Rooted Ethics
We talk openly about what it means to build technology responsibly, viewed through a biblical lens, so technical growth and character growth move together. Members also take part in service projects that put those conversations into action.

The Black Student Union believes each person has been created for a purpose. It seeks to consolidate this view with a Christ-centered educational experience that teaches about the history, culture, and social experiences of African Americans, Africans, and other ethnic and cultural minorities. The Black Student Union also seeks to facilitate a community base on faith-based accountability and spiritual mentorship. Members of the BSU will also encourage the spiritual development of undergraduates, graduates, and professors. Alumni of the CBU Black Student Union will be able to boast the wealth of knowledge they obtained from the community of California Baptist University to glorify God and distinguish themselves in the workplace and the world. They will also be able to articulate how their specific cultural experiences were acknowledged and valued by our community of faith. This Constitution subscribes to the regulations and policies of the university.

The Formula SAE competition challenges teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to design, fabricate, develop, and compete with small, formula-style vehicles. The competition is an engineering education competition that requires performance demonstration of vehicles in a series of events, both off track and on track, against. Each competition gives teams the chance to demonstrate their creativity and understanding of various engineering disciplines and compete directly with other students from around the world.

CBU Motorsports' goal is to help students excel at practical engineering skills in a number of categories, increase their work experience, create desirable job candidates after graduation, and navigate the engineering field from a Christian perspective.
