The mission of the ASL Club is to encourage and support students pursuing careers related to the Deaf community by offering and facilitating activities that promote greater Deaf awareness, learning opportunities, and relationship building among Deaf friends in the community and among fellow classmates.

The Black Student Union believes each person has been created for a purpose. It seeks to consolidate this view with a Christ-centered educational experience that teaches about the history, culture, and social experiences of African Americans, Africans, and other ethnic and cultural minorities. The Black Student Union also seeks to facilitate a community base on faith-based accountability and spiritual mentorship. Members of the BSU will also encourage the spiritual development of undergraduates, graduates, and professors. Alumni of the CBU Black Student Union will be able to boast the wealth of knowledge they obtained from the community of California Baptist University to glorify God and distinguish themselves in the workplace and the world. They will also be able to articulate how their specific cultural experiences were acknowledged and valued by our community of faith. This Constitution subscribes to the regulations and policies of the university.

Students in this program gain firsthand experience in both clinical and administrative health care settings and become an integral part of the care delivery team. Scholars assist with basic care for patients alongside nurses, physicians and other members of the care delivery team, and have opportunities to learn the “business” of health care, while earning volunteer hours for medical school, nursing school, and other graduate programs.

The Culture and Community Club's mission is to offer students a creative space to serve their community through fun events and community service opportunities. In the past, our club has hosted numerous biblically-rooted charity events such as our "Easter Basket" and our "Cookies and Cards" events where students contributed to providing an important service to Strong Families, a ministry for fostering children and caring for families in need and local veterans, elderly communities where cards were delivered to encourage those in need. We also host an annual "World Anthropology Day" event in which we recognize various cultures through educational activities as well as provide insight into Anthropology as a discipline for the CBU community. It's a form of academic connection (as part of the CORE FOUR at CBU).

By attending events and other service opportunities the Culture and Community Club sets students up for academic success in obtaining more volunteer/ community service hours for their resumes while also learning about the application of various disciplines in the behavioral sciences. There is always a takeaway from our events, whether that be through the form of a craft to encourage community and student wellbeing or service to CBU and our surrounding community. We provide opportunities for students to connect to CBUs "Core Four," especially through being academically prepared, globally minded, and Biblically rooted.
